Sons in Retirement (SIR) Branch 11 is the Lake Wildwood branch of the State SIR organization, and is a sanctioned Club of the Lake Wildwood Association. We have a luncheon meeting on the first Thursday of the month. Each meeting features a guest speaker from a local or regional organization presenting a topic of interest to our membership. Our branch participates in a 4 club Golf group that sponsors tournaments at many of the courses in the foothills and beyond. 8 tournaments are featured each year (Apr-Nov) at courses such as Darkhorse, Auburn Valley, The Ridge, Plumas Lake, Coyote Run, Alta Sierra, Lake of the Pines, Turkey Creek, and Lake Wildwood. We also have a travel group that arranges trips of interest to our members. Current trips in planning stages are a day trip to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co in Chico in the Spring '12, and an Alaskan Cruise in June '12. We are part of the Statewide SIR organization.
